Japan’s busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. The opulent Meiji Shinto Shrine is known for its towering gate and surrounding woods. The Imperial Palace sits amid large public gardens. Singapore ✈ Tokyo

    • It is the residence of Japan's Imperial Family.
  • Sensō-ji:
    • An ancient Buddhist temple located in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan.
    • Tokyo's oldest temple, and one of its most significant.
    • Formerly associated with the Tendai sect of Buddhism, it became independent after World War II.
  • Shinjuku:
    • One of the 23 city wards of Tokyo, but the name commonly refers to just the large entertainment, business and shopping area around Shinjuku Station.

  • Oshino Hakkai:
    • The site of eight ponds in the Fuji Five Lake region.

    • If weather permits, ascend to Mt Fuji 5th Station to enjoy the spectacular view from Japan’s tallest mountain.

  • Tōdai-ji:
    • Buddhist temple complex that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, located in the city of Nara, Japan.
    • Its Great Buddha Hall houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese as Daibutsu.
  • Nara Park:
    • A public park located in the city of Nara, Japan, at the foot of Mount Wakakusa, established in 1300s and one of the oldest parks in Japan.
    • Administratively, the park is under the control of Nara Prefecture.

Fushimi Inari Taisha – Kiyomizu dera – Duty Free – Gion Hanamikoji Street – Kinkaku ji -  LAOX Electrical Shop - Shinsaibashi (B/L)

  • Fushimi Inari Taisha:
    • The shrine sits at the base of a mountain also named Inari which is 233 metres above sea level, and includes trails up the mountain to many smaller shrines which span 4 kilometers.
  • Kiyomizu dera:
    • The temple was originally associated with the Hosso sect, one of the oldest schools within Japanese Buddhism.
    • In 1994, the temple was added to the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.
  • Gion Hanamikoji Street:
    • A nice (and expensive) place to dine, the street and its side alleys are lined with preserved machiya houses many of which now function as restaurants, serving Kyoto style kaiseki ryori (Japanese haute cuisine) and other types of local and international meals.
  • Kinkaku ji:
    • Officially named Rokuon-ji, is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan.
    • It is one of the most popular buildings in Japan, attracting a large number of visitors annually.
  • Shinsaibashi:
    • The largest shopping area in Osaka where many boutiques and specialty shops are gathered, attracting local people and visitors.
